It was a little tedious arranging, pinning and then stitching on all the teensy 1" squares and 1" x 2" rectangles of scraps. But there was absolutely no piecing. Just sewing right through the scraps, white base, batting and backing fabric. So, when I finally finished, there was nothing left to do but add the binding.
small project, but I'm pretty proud of it. Especially the hand binding, which is practically invisible. Thank God for internet tutorials! But I need to work on making my mitered corners a little neater so that they won't be lumpy. That said, I really like the way the edges of the fabric curled and frayed when I washed it! Now on to something bigger!
